MoveProtect Enhanced Liability Protection
At Masons Moving Group, we’ve always prioritised the safety and security of your belongings. Due to changes in insurance regulations, we can no longer offer insurance directly as part of our removals and storage services. However, we’re pleased to introduce MoveProtect — our enhanced liability protection, offering a similar level of cover through a simple, convenient solution.
What is MoveProtect?
MoveProtect is a reliable, non-insurance alternative developed and underwritten by Basil Fry, the leading name in removals and storage liability protection. It protects your goods against any loss or damage during transit and storage, giving you peace of mind without the hassle of sourcing your own cover. Though, of course, you’re free to arrange your own insurance elsewhere if you prefer.
MoveProtect introduces minor revisions to our customer agreement, including a new MoveProtect Addendum, which replaces the current Summary of Cover.

What Does MoveProtect Cover?
Much like our previous insurance arrangements, MoveProtect provides cover for the risk of damage or loss to your goods during transit and storage at our facility, where liability is accepted and subject to standard exclusions and limitations. It applies to national, European, and international moves.
The Maximum Replacement Value
To activate MoveProtect, we simply need the Maximum Replacement Value of everything you’re moving and/or storing with us. This figure should reflect the full, new replacement cost of your items combined. Accurately estimating this value is essential to ensure your belongings are properly protected.
Choosing Your Own Insurance
If you decide to arrange your own insurance instead, please note that Masons Moving Group’s liability will be limited to negligence only. You’ll also be required to provide proof of your insurance cover.
By choosing MoveProtect, this obligation is waived, and we’re able to accept a higher limit of liability, offering cover up to the replacement value you declare.
Claims Handling Made Easy
Claims under MoveProtect will be managed by the Removal Claims Service (RCS), the in-house claims settlement team of Basil Fry. You can notify us or contact RCS directly.
Claims Processing
A small claims admin fee of £50 is applied to an individual’s claim, which will be deducted from each and any settlement figure.
