There are many attractive reasons to move to Holland which has had strong ties with the United Kingdom for years through both industry and tourism. Holland’s capital city Amsterdam, has a rich cultural heritage and relaxed atmosphere, one of the most popular European destinations that Brits choose to visit each year and it is easy to see why many decide to move over permanently. Holland has one of the strongest economies in Europe and enjoys consistently low unemployment.
A main area in Holland is the Randstad which is divided up into a few cities of importance, namely, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, The Hague and a few smaller towns like Leiden, Haarlem and Delft. In between are various small towns and villages, all of which lie within easy travelling distance of one of the bigger cities. For the most part, excellent public transport connections mean that even if you live in Amsterdam, you would have no trouble commuting to your job in for example The Hague.
