Woody’s Lodge 2024 Charity Ride

Masons Moving Group Continues Support for Welsh Veterans at the Woody’s Lodge 2024 Brecon to National Arboretum Ride

At Masons Moving Group, community support is more than just a commitment— it’s a heartfelt passion. For the past seven years, we have been privileged to work closely with Woody’s Lodge, a remarkable Welsh veterans’ charity dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those who served our country. Through donations, fundraising events, and active participation, Masons Moving Group, along with Masons Self Storage and The Business Centre, has proudly stood by Woody’s Lodge in its mission. Join us as we reflect on our journey and invite you to be part of the next Woody’s Lodge exciting adventure—The 2024 Brecon to National Arboretum Ride.

A Legacy of Support

Since 2017, Masons Moving Group has been a steadfast partner of Woody’s Lodge, actively participating in the charity’s initiatives. Our Corporate Partnerships with Woody’s Lodge have allowed us to support their cause in various ways, demonstrating our commitment to the community and the values we hold dear.

Gordon Mason, Managing Director, shared our family’s connection to the cause during a special event at Woody’s Lodge. The association with Woody’s Lodge is not just a partnership; it’s a commemoration of the memory of our father, Eric Mason, who served as a pilot in RAF Bomber Command during World War II, and our mother Esme Mason, who was central to the Masons growth over the years.

Sarah Mason: Pedaling for a Purpose, Igniting Change, and Leading with Expertise and Heart

Sarah, Director of ONCREE Digital and a key representative of the Masons name has exemplified our commitment to supporting charitable causes. Last year, she undertook the 165-mile cycle challenge, not only paying tribute to the memory of Eric and Esme Mason but also embodying the spirit of endurance and dedication that defines our family-run company. Sarah’s participation in the ride is more than a physical feat—it’s a symbol of our enduring connection to the cause and a demonstration of our family’s commitment to making a positive impact. In addition to her physical efforts, Sarah has been contributing her expertise to Woody’s Lodge on a pro bono basis through ONCREE Digital. Her generosity reflects the broader ethos of Masons Moving Group, where supporting local charity events is not just a duty but a genuine passion to make a meaningful difference in the community.

The 2024 Brecon to National Arboretum Ride

Our most recent endeavor with Woody’s Lodge involves the upcoming 2024 Brecon to National Arboretum Ride. This marks Woody’s Lodge’s third cycle fundraising event, following the success of their Cardiff to Paris ride in 2022 and the Normandy Battlefields in 2023. The new journey, spanning three days from June 14th to June 16th, honours the veterans of the Falklands Conflict. The ride will take participants from Brecon to The National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas in Staffordshire, forging memories, and friendships, and contributing to the crucial mission of providing life-changing services to veterans in Wales.
